OUR STORY
We are the Tates- Eric, Christy, and Mamaw Alice. We purchased the beautiful Dixie mini-horse farm in the early 2000s to build our family home and live out our dream as small time farmers.
Tate Farms
Eric is a full time carpenter and electrician by trade, and I was a stay at home mom of three. Once our children grew up and out of our home, we decided to live out a long time dream and build a large family home on a mini farm. We have always had the heart for farming, growing, building, and most importantly, watching our family enjoy the beautiful land that God has blessed the Earth. Quickly into our new adventure, we realized the need for farm dogs. Hazel and Tua, the beautiful Bassets, joined our family after many years of searching. We fell in love with our duo and decided to share our love with other families that want to add this precious breed to their families!
100% raised in our home and on our farm
These adorable, CKC registered Basset Hounds are lovingly raised in our home not only with their mother, but also with our grandchildren, farm animals, other family pets, and of course, Mamaw Tate! We require an in-person meeting or Zoom meeting to reserve puppies. A $400 deposit will reserve the puppy until he/she can leave Hazel. Remaining balance will be due one week prior to pick up. Payment plans are available.
